Xavier is truly a one-man-band in the best sense of the term. In the studio he sings melodic lead & harmony vocals while performing multiple instruments from a well written & thought-out score.

Xavier is a monster player! I happened to be on a country session with him a while ago and was blown away. Voice, phrasing, taste, chords, chops, - this guy had it all! Not only is he a killer player and vocalist, but also a laid back, really cool guy. I would recommend Xavier for anybody wanting to make, learn, or listen to some music.

Xavier captivated the entire audience from the moment he began till the last note. His amazing skills at the keys only complements his unique vocal sound. He was professional, courteous, and confident in his performance. With his enthusiasm I'm sure we will see many more great shows from him. He's a star on the rise.

With a truly unique vocal style, solid keyboard chops, and an amazing ability to craft smart and beautiful pop songs, Xavier is definitely a complete artist. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for him.

"Music is the bond that keeps us together. Everyday, we as musicians have an obligation to do all that we can to write and perform our craft at the highest level possible. We must always strive to play well...with conviction and emotion."

That's Xavier's philosophy on music and only one of the many reasons why this up and coming artist decided to pursue a career in the music industry.

Austin based Musician/Singer/Songwriter Xavier Gonzalez Jr has started to make quite a name for himself over the past few years. An active musician and session player in the Austin music scene, Xavier has shared the stage with artists such as Jennifer Fuentes, Omarr Awake, Scarlett Olson, and bands like Arrival Journey Tribute, Third Coast Jazz Trio, Sauce the Band, among others. Xavier recently has recorded keyboard tracks for Phillip Thomas, a country/rock artist who is now working with several prominent producers in the Nashville scene.

As a songwriter, Xavier’s song "Truth" was awarded "Honorable Mention" in the Song of The Year online songwriting competition for May 2009. In August 2013, Xavier released his debut EP entitled "Breedlove". This four track acoustic effort, which is now available on iTunes and Google Play, has gained the attention of many people including some important names in the industry. One name in particular is Los Angeles based producer/musician Peter Malick. Peter’s first project as a producer/songwriter was in 2003. His "The New York City" album featuring Norah Jones reached #1 on iTunes for weeks and continues to sell internationally. After being impressed by Xavier’s track "When Morning Comes", Mr. Malick invited Xavier to meet and talk music in a Google Hangout session and the two have been in close communication ever since.

Xavier’s music has also gained the attention of award-winning iPhone film maker, Conrad Mess. Mess has won numerous film awards including 1st Place in the iPhone Film Festival Los Angeles (2011), 1st Place in the iPhone Film Festival Singapore (2012), and 3rd Place in the Original iPhone Film Festival San Francisco (2012). After a chance viewing of one of Xavier’s YouTube videos, Conrad contacted Xavier about possibly using the song "The Box" in one of his upcoming feature films.

In July 2014, Xavier released his second EP entitled "How To Run". This home studio project includes hi-energy arrangements of the songs "Save Your Goodbyes", "Maybe Now, "When Morning Comes", "It’s Your Turn", and "Still Around". The EP is already making waves in the area as people are able to hear Xavier’s music in a full band setting for the first time. "How To Run" is available now on iTunes, Spotify, and Google Play.

Originally from Harlingen, TX, Xavier became the go-to guy as a keyboardist in the studio and gained the respect of local artists as a talented up and coming singer/songwriter. From 2003 to 2008, Xavier and his former band, Eidman Hall, had the opportunity to open up for some major artists including Ozomatli, Marie Digby, Dolores O'Riordan, and others. In January of 2007, Xavier and his band mates traveled to Arizona to spend a week recording with Robin Wilson of Gin Blossoms at Uranus Recording Studios in Tempe. There, Robin had many great things to say about the band’s songs (many of which were written by Xavier). When speaking about Xavier’s song "Maybe Now", Robin said "Wow…that’s awesome!" and went on to say "Keep writing songs like these."

These days, you can find Xavier playing acoustic shows at various venues around Austin as he continues to build his fan base, create his brand, and ignite the determination that will carry him into the next phase of what he hopes to be a long and fulfilling musical career.
